Re : Explanation of the Operating Performance of 1st Quarter 2006
Amata Corporation Public Company Limited (Amata) and its subsidiary
companies would like to report the net profit of the 1st quarter 2006 of
280.14 million baht, and that of the 3 months period 2005 of 219.60 million
baht. Comparing the operating performance of 2006 with that of 2005, net
profit increased 60.54 million baht or equivalent to an increase of 27.57%.
The increase in profit during this period is due to the follow factors:-
1. Decrease of Cost of Sale

Revenue from Land Sales 885.30 766.22
Cost of Sales 483.99 298.86
Net Profit 401.31 467.36
Net Profit Margin (%) 45.33% 61.00%
The gross profit from land sales of 2006 is 61.00%. When compared
with that of 2005, which was 45.33%, gross profit increased 15.67%. This is
because of the efficiency of the cost controls of the Company.
2. Increase of income from services
In 2006, the income from services is 188.13 million baht. Compared to
the income services of 2005, which was 137.76 million baht, the income from
services of 2006 has increased 50.37 million baht, or equivalent to 36.56%.
