No. 006/98/166/2005 November 14, 2005 President The Stock Exchange of Thailand 62 Ratchadapisek Road, Klongtoei, BANGKOK 10110 Dear Sir, Re : Report on Operating Performance of 3rd Quarter 2005 Amata Corporation Public Company Limited (Amata) and its subsidiary companies would like to report the net profit as follow:- 1. Net profit of the 3rd quarter 2005 of 261.14 million baht (0.24 baht per share) while that of last year 2004 is 297.78 million baht including a special gain from fund return 172.50 million baht (0.28 baht per share) 2. Net profit of the nine months period 2005 of 885.27 million baht (0.83 baht per share) while that of last year 2004 is 685.23 million baht including a special gain from fund return 172.50 million baht (0.64 baht per share) The increase in profit this year is due to the follow factors :- 1. Increase of Income from Land Sale * Income from land sale of the 3rd quarter 2005 is 857.73 million baht. This is an increase of 320.45 million bath or equivalent to an increase of 59.64%, from the income of land sale of the 3rd quarter 2004 when Amata had the income from land sales of 537.28 million bath * Income from land sale of the nine months period 2005 is 3,157.80 million baht. This is an increase of 1,236.95 million baht or equivalent to an increase of 64.40%, from the income of land sale of the same period 2004 when Amata had the income from land sales of 1,920.85 million baht 2. Decrease of Cost of Sale * Cost of land sale of the 3rd quarter 2005 is 433.21 million baht and that of 2004 is 280.71 million baht. When computing the cost and income of land sale, the gross profit of the 3rd quarter 2005 is 49.49% while that of 2004 is 47.75%. The increase of the gross profit of this year is because of the decrease of cost of sale * Cost of land sale of the nine months period 2005 is 1,650.46 million baht and that of 2004 is 1,087.59 million baht. When computing the cost and income of land sale, the gross profit of the nine months period 2005 is 47.73% while that of 2004 is 43.38%.
